Cookie Policy
Last Updated: October 28, 2026 • Version 1.1 (Production Draft)
1What Are Cookies and Local Storage?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit a website. We also utilize modern HTML5 Local Storage for lightweight client-side user experience settings.
Cookies help us authenticate pump operators, protect our APIs from brute-force automated attacks, and remember user interface preferences.
2Complete Inventory of Cookies & Storage Used
The following table details every cookie and local storage item used by cngnearme.co.in:
| Item Name | Type & Provider | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cng_session_token | HTTP Cookie (First-Party) | Stores encrypted JWT token to authenticate logged-in Station Operators & Super Admin. | 30 Days | Strictly Necessary |
| cng_cookie_consent_v1 | HTML5 LocalStorage | Remembers your cookie consent choices so the banner does not repeatedly appear. | Persistent (1 Year) | Functionality |
| cng_active_logo_concept | HTML5 LocalStorage | Remembers which brand logo concept or visual preference is selected. | Persistent | Preferences |
3Third-Party Embedded Services
- OpenStreetMap (Leaflet Tile Provider): Station maps load map tiles from OpenStreetMap (`tile.openstreetmap.org`). OpenStreetMap serves map images without placing third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
- Google Fonts: Fonts (`Geist`, `Geist Mono`) are automatically downloaded and self-hosted on our servers by Next.js at build time, ensuring zero communication with Google servers during user visits.
- Advertising & Cross-Site Tracking: We do NOT use Google AdSense, Meta Pixel, or any third-party marketing trackers.
4Manage Your Cookie Preferences Anytime
Under Indian DPDP Act 2023 and global privacy standards, you can review, update, or revoke your cookie choices at any time:
You can also manage or delete cookies directly in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent station operators from signing in.
